Our Story
How did an old post in Dob transform into a popular hostel that offers a unique experience to its customers?
1960
Hostel Hiša na travniku (Hostel House on the Meadow) now stands in place the former post office in Dob. It sets an excellent example to how an old-fashioned facility can become a lively and modern living area with a touch of wonderful old baroque details.
The heart of the hostel is a spacious living area. Where once stood the main reception of the post office, now a common kitchen, large wooden chairs and tables and seating area with the TV is placed. Thus, we transformed a part of the old-city facility into a modern and warm multipurpose space with a lively atmosphere.
